The challenge

All spacecraft need propulsion. Nowadays more than ever, because they do not only need to get to and stay in a certain spot in space, but also move around space and de-orbit once vehicles are no longer in use. There are also more and more constellations going to space, meaning we will need to have the ability to serially and quickly produce engine models. The market right now is built around single-use satellites which come at high costs and rely mostly on toxic chemicals for propulsion. This increases operating costs around the safety of handling these chemicals.

The solution

To solve these problems we will provide an additively manufactured propulsion module integrated with the novel cooling technique called transpiration cooling. First, our additive manufacturing technique lends itself heavily to automation allowing us to have a highly scalable production line. Additionally, it lets us reduce our part count and thus production costs, time, and complexity. The propellant choice is relatively safe to work with and can be filled at the factory before the satellite is shipped to the launch site.

Mission

Providing complete transportation solutions for earth orbit and interplanetary travel.
