The challenge

Drones have a huge potential for everyday, personal use. While the level of technology increases, however, small improvements are made to include and captivate new users. The marketability of drones is limited by their laborious procedure of deployment, charging, carrying, and piloting. They lack immediacy of use, portability, and intuitiveness.

The solution

We simplify the interaction between humans and drones, enhancing everyday and simple uses of affordable and portable flying technologies. We designed an ecosystem that consists of a miniaturized drone and an integrated base that provides deployment, charging, and carrying facilities for the drone. The drone and the base can also be used as wearable technologies, or as autonomous integrated add-ons for systems such as vehicles and machines. We want to guarantee autonomy and simplification of the full cycle of take-off, task execution, landing, and charging, together with the reduced size of the entire drone-base system and the ease of portability.

Mission

Project meFly aims at bringing flying technologies into everyone's everyday life.
