The challenge

In order to assess cognitive processes related to mental disorders, like attention, interpretation and memory, mostly reaction time tasks have been used. One of these important cognitive processes is attention. Attention bias can play a significant role in psychological disorders. Reviewing research findings show, reaction time tasks are mostly not reliable, and in many instances, they are unable to provide a comprehensive picture of the patient's situation. As a result, we intend to use advanced assessment techniques, such as eye-tracking, in combination with breakthrough data science techniques in order to gain a deeper understanding of the cognitive processes underlying severe psychological issues (e.g., Depression, Eating Disorders, and Alcohol misuse).

The solution

Employees were compelled to engage online throughout the pandemic, and the absence of face-to-face interaction led to poor psychological well-being. In the initial step, we are developing a platform that allows users to assess their mental health using an eye tracker, with the purpose of improving awareness while respecting their privacy. They are also prepared to deal with such circumstances. Finally, they are reported to a trusted link in urgent instances.

Mission

Our mission is to make the mental health diagnosis process quicker and more reliable.
