However, they lag their elders in one aspect of a healthy lifestyle: eating homemade food, which can lower the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Millennials have lower confidence in their cooking ability which explains their preference for store-bought food. Meanwhile, there exists a large number of social media accounts, particularly among immigrant families, who like to explore cooking as their passion. Thus, there is a need to connect passionate hobby-cooks with health-conscious youth who lack confidence or the time to cook themselves.
The solution
Homeal provides an online platform to connect passionate hobby-cooks with their potential consumers. We help the hobby-cooks gain not just visibility but also credibility through necessary certification. This is to ensure the food sold meets high standards of health and hygiene.
