The challenge

On average, a fast fashion consumer wears a piece of clothe for not more than 6 times a year. The modern fast fashion business model is posing a threat to the environment, since production of these items consumes raw materials such as water and energy in large quantities, with 85% of all textiles ending up in landfills annually. There are efforts to extend the lifespan of garments through the secondhand clothing industry, but major reluctance arises from the mindset that these clothes are worn and old-fashioned, which highlights the urgency of a new approach for adding value to existing fabrics.

The solution

We believe that transforming the fashion industry is essential for a sustainable future. We propose a line of clothes for upcycling pre-existing textiles in new garments by implementing major traits of modular design. With modular clothes, the buyer can customize their product, while upgrading the design into something unique, more desirable, and suitable for specific occasions. One single piece can become many new garments, with our system of attachment and disassembling, which is an essential pillar of circular products. Therefore, with our line of modular upcycled clothes, we can reduce the impact of fast fashion and consumerism.

Mission

Our mission is to revolutionize the fast fashion industry by reshaping consumption patterns.
