The challenge

Reducing two wells to a single well (and a single pump) through which water is simultaneously produced and injected into the subsurface poses a design challenge to maximize efficiency and minimize system maintenance costs.

The solution

The solution is the development of a casing system for the monowell and the necessary valves to change the injection/production direction in the different aquifers.

Mission

The objective of our company is to develop aquifer thermal energy storage systems (ATES) to provide heating and cooling to different buildings, with the advantage of reducing the traditionally used two wells to a single well and pump, which saves implementation costs.
