The challenge

Circa 50% of all fashion items ordered through webshops are returned. Most of these items are destroyed since inspecting and repackaging is more expensive and in many cases impossible. This not only constitutes a huge waste of both money and raw materials, but also greenhouse gases, as the logistical process emits a lot of unnecessary CO2.

The solution

Size/fit plays a role in 70% of all returns, and with recent advancements in digital technologies we should be able to bring back this percentage to zero. SizeRight aspires to develop a mobile app that uses LiDAR and AI to generate a 3d model of one's body from which the body measurements are extracted. By comparing these measurements with brand size databases, SizeRight should be able to suggest the right size for users shopping at affiliated webshops. No need anymore to order three sizes of the same jeans!
